At the same time as signing up to sail across the Atlantic Ocean in 2014, Jen was also in the process of moving back to Canada from the UK to begin a dream - Windmill Lake Wake & Eco Park (WLW).
Just as she crossed an Ocean having never sailed before, Jen set up an outdoor recreation park focused around cable wakeboarding - having never wakeboarded before (are you sensing a theme?)
Windmill Lake was started by Jen (the paddler) and Andy (the wakeboarder) in 2014 and has now finished 6 successful seasons introducing over 12,000 people to a range of watersports that are environmentally-responsible.
Since starting WLW, Jen has become a certified World Paddle Association Instructor, Level 1 & 2 PaddleFit Instructor, Water Ski Wakeboard Canada Wakeboard Instructor and most recently a certified WSWC Learning Facilitator & Coach Developer. She is working to develop a nation-wide program to promote adaptive cable wakeboarding - making it possible for people with disabilities to access watersports.
